
Problem: DISC AUTHENTICATION PROBLEMS

* User receiving: “Original Disc Not Found (Error 1000 or 4001)
* User receiving: “Authentication Timeout” error
In these cases, please create and send an analysis file using the instructions
(below).
Launch analysis instructions:
In order to generate this analysis file, please do the following:
Note: If you need to generate an analysis file for evaluation before the installation
of the game has completed, there will be not be a desktop shortcut to point
to (step 3 below). It will therefore be necessary to “right-click”
on the application itself (options are included in instructions).
Windows XP (Vista below):
1) Make sure the original "play" disc is in a
physical, local CD or DVD drive.
2) Please re-start your computer (the reboot is to assure
there are no additional instances of the software running
when generating the file).
3) With the mouse, "right-click" on the desktop
shortcut, or the actual application's executable file, and
a menu will appear. If you are generating an analysis file
for the downloader exe, "right-click" on the file
on the disc at this path: Your_Disc_Drive\srdownloader\BioshockAutoPatcher.exe.
4) Choose "Launch Analysis" from the choices
beneath "Open" and release the mouse button.
5) A disclaimer window may appear on your screen. To proceed,
please click on the "Yes" button. A window stating
that an Analysis log will be generated may appear, if so
click OK. If an error message appears, please click "Cancel"
to continue.
6) After a period of time, the program will generate a
file named "AnalysisLog.sr0" and place it at the
root of your hard drive (usually C:). To locate, you can
go to "My Computer," open the hard drive (often
C:\) and locate the analysis file. Note: Vista users, see
below. When the file has been generated, a dialog will appear
stating it has finished. Click "OK" to complete
the process.
7) Please "zip" the file using a program such
as WinZip, WinRAR, or WinAce (to avoid email corruption),
and attach it to your email to support@securom.com.
Windows Vista:
Follow the steps outlined above through step 6. Using
Vista, the filed will be stored in the following path: C:\Users\’YOUR
USER’\AppData\Local\Temp\AnalysisLog.sr0. If by chance
this folder is hidden, you may have to display hidden folders.
Please follow the steps:
1. Go to 'Start' and than left click the option 'Control
Panel'.
2. Left click on "Appearance and Personalization."
Please select now the option "Folder Options."
3. Now select the "View" tab, and select "Show
hidden files and folders." You should now have access
to the folder in question.
If you do not see the "Launch Analysis" option available in the context
menu, it can be generated using the command line. Please follow these steps:
1) Make sure the original "play" disc is in a
physical, local CD or DVD drive.
2) Please re-start your computer (the reboot is to assure
there are not additional instances of the software running
when generating the file).
3) Click with the right button of your mouse on the shortcut
icon of your software program on your computer desktop.
4) Choose Properties, then highlight and copy everything
in the "Target" window (Ctrl - C).
5) Click on the "Start" button in your toolbar,
click "Run," type "cmd" in the text
box and press enter. A DOS window will appear.
6) Type "cd\" (without double quotes) and hit
enter to get to the root of your hard drive (you may have
to type "cd .." several times to get to c:/).
7) Click with the right button of your mouse into the
DOS window. If a menu appears choose "Paste."
8) Press the space bar once and add the text "/secuexp"
and press Enter.
9) A disclaimer window may appear on your screen. To proceed,
please click on the "Yes" button. A window stating
that an Analysis log will be generated may appear, if so
click OK. If an error message appears, please click "Cancel"
to continue.
10) After a period of time, the program will generate a
file named "AnalysisLog.sr0" and place it at the
root of your hard drive (usually C:). To locate, you can
go to "My Computer," open the hard drive (often
C:\) and locate the analysis file. Note: Vista users, see
notes above. When the file has been generated, a dialog
