Another week is nearly completion at 2K Games, and it's been a big week for Civilization V and an even bigger one for Mafia II. So without further ado, here's what has been keeping us busy in the world of games for the past five days:
Civilization V: Frank, a member of Civilization Anonymous (a group founded to help gamers grappling with Civilization addictions) shares the story of how his family intervened on his behalf to help shake him into reality and out of his game world. You can watch the his video now on the CivAnon Facebook page.
Mafia II: Previews from last week's Mafia II hands-on event started hitting the news, and we have a huge roundup of articles on the community site for your reading pleasure. In addition to the news, we released exclusive screens from the event to the community.
We also announced that Mafia II will be available via digital distribution (with a deluxe edition!) and uses Steamworks, plus, if you preorder Mafia II through a digital channel you can download Mafia I for free right now!
Mafia II finished off the week by announcing that the demo is headed to PS3, 360, and PC on August 10th- that's 18 days from now!
On the horizon: The Protector Trials DLC are coming for BioShock 2 on August 3rd (read an article about the Trials on the Cult of Rapture by 2K Marin Designer Steve Gaynor) and PAX plans. Stay tuned for more details - they're definitely en route.
