PAX Prime 2011 is mere days away – and for those of you not lucky enough to make it out to Seattle, we want to bring a little bit of PAX to you! We’ll be streaming two live events over the weekend, taking you behind the scenes with the developers working on Borderlands 2 and The Darkness II.
Our livestream for Borderlands 2 begins at 11 AM PT on Saturday, August 27 at http://www.ustream.tv/2kgameslive. I’ll be chatting with Jeramy Cooke, Art Director, and Scott Kester, Concept Designer from Gearbox Studios about how they dreamed up the new designs for the game – and we’ll be taking questions from you live throughout the feed! (There might be some other fun surprises throughout the feed – but you’ll have to watch to see!)
The Darkness II livestream will begin at 11 AM PT on Sunday, August 28 with Sheldon Carter, Project Director at Digital Extremes and Ron Davey, Lead Environment Artist at Digital Extremes, as well as Seth Olshfski, Producer at 2K Games. We’ll talk about the playable demo gamers are trying out on the PAX floor, talk about their design decisions for bringing The Darkness back to video games, and ruminate on how awesome it is that Jackie’s Darkling wears a cat skin on his head. We’ll also be accepting questions live throughout the feed – so be sure to tune in to http://www.ustream.tv/2kgameslive to hear yours answered on air.
Our booths are packed full of games and swag this year and there will be no fewer than three 2K Games-related panels shown throughout the convention. For a full list of everything we’re doing at PAX Prime, check out our other blog post here: http://www.2kgames.com/blog/2k-pax-prime-2011
See you at the show!
