While the Friday blog roundups may have taken a bit of a respite these last couple weeks, I assure you that we have been quite busy around the 2K Games offices (which, perhaps, is the reason for the tiny lapse.) Anyway, with a couple weeks of awesome stuff to catch up on, I'll stop writing this intro and get on into it.
MAFIA II: Mafia II is headed to store on August 24th. on August 10th, the demo was released for PS3, 360, and PC - if you haven't already downloaded it, head to your nearest computer or console and GET ON THAT! We also launched the Mafia II Hit List App on Facebook so that you can take a hit out on your annoying friends. You should also swing by the 2K Games YouTube page and check out the latest behind-the-scenes video for Mafia II called The Technology of Mafia II. If you are looking for in-game footage, we've got that too. Check out Ties that Bind and Earning Your Keep on the Mafia II official site. And, of course, for the many other updates I've not listed (and full details on Community Launch Events in New York City, Chicago, and Miami!) visit the Mafia II community site for all the news.
CIVILIZATION V: Greg Laabs, Civilization V's Community Manager, has been busy writing up details of all the cool new features you'll get in Civilization V, including the biggest, baddest unit in the game. We've also released the game's system requirements and teased an upcoming demo. Civilization Anonymous is also going strong with two new member stories by Frank and Edna - if you've ever struggled with One More Turn, you might want to join their ranks on Facebook.
BIOSHOCK 2: Not only did we release The Protector Trials DLC on 360 and PS3 recently, we also announced that the final chapter of BioShock 2 is coming with Minerva's Den DLC. Stay tuned for a release date - it's imminent!
And last but not least, you may have heard of Irrational Games' new title, announced yesterday: BioShock Infinite. Go check out the premiere trailer now!
I've already begun compiling requests for future blog entries that you guys sent me (thank you for that!) and am hoping to start rolling out some sweet new insider entries in the next couple weeks. I just have to get through PAX first... But more on that another day.
