THE CULT OF RAPTURE SCREENSHOT SCENARIO CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES
CONTEST IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO U.S. LAW. DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST IF YOU ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE 50 UNITED STATES OR DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO PLAY.
The object of the Cult of Rapture Screenshot Scenario Contest ("Contest") is to best solve a problem depicted in a gameplay scenario from BioShock, BioShock, a 2K-published title to Xbox 360™ and PC screenshots and explanatory text of the in-game situation ("Scenario") and the problem ("Problem") to be solved will be posted at www.cultofrapture.com. Those who submit the best solution ("Solution") under the criteria set forth in rule 3 will receive a prize. The Contest will be conducted in five one month periods, each of which will be treated as a separate promotion with a separate prize.
Go to the Contest Site and view the Scenario. Then compose and save as a text file a short description (not to exceed 1000 words) that sets forth your proposed Solution to the Problem depicted onscreen. All entries must be submitted within four days after the Scenario and Problem are posted for viewing. You may submit more than one Solution to any Problem. The start and end dates for each monthly contest will be posted at the contest site. Sponsor reserves the right to select and/or change posted dates at its sole discretion and without notice. Entries received for any monthly contest will not be carried forward into subsequent months. All Solutions become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor reserves the right to use, modify, alter, or display a Solution for any purpose without providing compensation.
A panel of 2K Judges will review each Solution on the basis of its originality and its effective resolution of the problem presented. Decision of the judges is final and binding in all respects.
One (1) cult of Rapture BioShock t-shirt (value $15) will be awarded per month. A. Prizes will be shipped to winner's address when available. Winner will be notified by e-mail or regular mail within two (2) weeks of selection. Return of any prize or notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. By submitting a Solution, a winner agrees to allow use of his or her name, likeness and/or biographical information for promotional purposes (including posting on this Web site) without further compensation or authorization, except where prohibited by law.
Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. and District of Columbia, 18 years or older, except employees and the families and household members of Take 2 Interactive Software, and Irrational Games, and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, promotion, advertising and similar agencies. Void where prohibited. These entities and each of their respective representatives, agents or employees are not responsible for, and shall be indemnified by prize winners against, any claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from participation in this Contest or acceptance, use, misuse, possession, or loss of the prize. Other Conditions: Sponsor assumes no responsibility for computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures of any kinds, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Contest, in its entirety or in part should virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond Sponsor's control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the contest. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the sweepstakes by technical or human errors that may occur in the processing of the entries in the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the transmission of this Contest at any time and award prizes from among eligible entries received prior to the date of the withdrawal. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the game or web-site or to be acting in violation of the Rules.
