BIOSHOCK NYC PRESS EVENT

June 8, 2007

Info is beginning to come in about the BioShock Press Event that took place in New York City! Keep your eyes peeled on your favorite news outlets -- and here -- I'll be collecting reviews and previews as they get published.

In the meantime, here are some photos of your friendly 2K and Irrational crew at the event itself.

Click the images to enlarge.

The entrance and main room of the press event. It looked as if you were leagues under the ocean.

Melissa Miller, Content Producer, gives a pep talk to the Irrational and 2K crew before the show starts.

More shots of the room, our beautiful BioShock logo, and some opening images from the event.

The opening movie played on the big screen. Just imagine it moving... and with surround sound.

The movie ends and Ken takes the stage to walk us through some new gameplay.

Nate Wells, Technical Art Director, Ken Levine, Creative Director, and Anthony Deluca, Producer, all
give interviews with the press.

And some of the 2K folks behind the scenes: Your community manager, her with Tom,
Marketing Director, and PR Director Marcelyn Ditter with VP of Marketing, Sarah Anderson.

We had forty 360 stations set up for people to play through the game, and they were put to good use.

A DJ to serenade us with songs from the 1940s in front of a neon sign we borrowed from the
Kashmir Restaurant.
